Hi there, and welcome Today I'm going to share with you some of the best tools for home based business in 2023 for Amazon FBA.
What is Amazon FBA? It stands for Fulfillment by Amazon, and it's a service that allows you to outsource order fulfillment to Amazon. You send your products to Amazon's fulfillment centers, and they take care of picking, packing, shipping, and customer service for you. This way, you can focus on growing your business and reaching more customers.
Amazon FBA is a great option for home based business owners, because it saves you time, money, and hassle. You don't have to worry about brick and mortar stores, packing orders, shipping to customers, or dealing with returns. Plus, your products are eligible for Amazon Prime free shipping, which can boost your sales and customer satisfaction.
But to run a successful Amazon FBA business, you need some tools to help you along the way. Here are some of the tools I use and recommend for home based business owners who sell on Amazon FBA:
Printers:
You need a printer to print out your shipping labels and packing slips. I use thermal printers, which is fast, reliable, and doesn't require ink or toner. You can find thermal printers on Amazon for around $150 up.
I recommend using a brand name so you have decent warranties and longevity.
Personally I use and old wired Dymo 450 Turbo I use for barcodes and a Dymo 4x Labelwriter for shipping labels (4x6)
New dymo printers are pretty awesome as well, which I will be switching to as the Dymos ( good deal) I currently use wear out, though they are going strong still.
There are many labelwriters that will print all sizes, I prefer the 2 printer solution this saves me some time.
Laptops:
You need a laptop to manage your Amazon seller account, research products, track inventory, create listings, and more.
You can use any laptop that has internet access and a web browser, but I prefer a lightweight and portable one that I can take anywhere.
You can find laptops on Amazon for around $500 and up. At this writing I'm using an old
Lenovo ThinkPad.
Using cashback apps etc is also a good way to save on some items. I bought the Lenovo using Rakuten
You can also buy a used cheap workstation to start off with.
The trick to buying on Amazon is to buy directly from Amazon, research and you will see they are usually the same price as any outside dealer( as 3rd party re-sellers we are always higher) More on this neat trick , later on!
Labels:
You need labels to stick on your products and shipping labels. You can buy labels from Amazon or other online suppliers.
This one is from a 3rd party seller, but a PL product. I use only Betchkey thermal labels for both printers 4x6 for shipping and 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 for your barcodes. I find the quality and price to be a perfect fit for me.
The samples are for Dymo compatible and cheaper, that's what I use and buy :)
Boxes:
You need boxes to pack your products and ship them to the fulfillment center. You can buy boxes from Amazon or other online suppliers, or you can reuse boxes that you receive from other shipments.
Just make sure they are clean and sturdy, and don't have any markings or labels from other companies Home Depot for 18x18x24 boxes Uhaul or any supplier you may know for smaller or same depends on the deal I use . You can find boxes on Am
azon, these seem expensive to me, but it gives you an idea.
You can cover any markings or barcodes on boxes you are repurposing with stickers (blank) or paint ar anyway that obscures any markings.
Don't be afraid to buy supplies from Amazon. There are a great many PL products that fit the bill perfectly for small everyday needs.
3rd Party resellers also do have some great deals as well, such as buying poly bags in bulk from companies like ULINE and selling off the overstock. That's a hint :) but Uline charges a ton for shipping so figure that in if you are buying from them.
Etc.:
There are some other tools that you might need depending on your product type and niche. For example, you will at some point need bubble wrap.
Tape I use this tape good as any and free shipping ,Tape gun scissors, box cutter good set I stumbled on, and bought, scale, poly bags, etc. You can find these tools on Amazon or other online suppliers as well.
Make sure the Poly Bags have suffocation warnings where applicable.
Everybody has a phone today so I am leaving that as it is. Mobile with a decent data plan is essential.
These are some of the tools that I use and recommend for home based business owners who sell on Amazon FBA. They help me run my business smoothly and efficiently, and they don't cost a lot of money. If you are interested in starting or growing your own Amazon FBA business in 2023, I hope this blog post was helpful for you.
I also as you see buy and use a lot of these products myself, so I personally recommend them.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more tips and tricks on how to succeed with Amazon FBA!
